Eggs and Bunnies

Easter is here again so I've been making some fun things for the kids and decorations for the house.

My own designs:
Crochet carrots to fill with small chocoloate eggs or jelly beans, little mini eggs and egg cups.

Daffodils pattern I found somewhere free online.

My favourite are the chocolate bunnies.

3 Friends

How cute are these 3 girls?
This is the newest pattern from Annita Wilschut.
It includes all 3, they have the same body, just the head is different.
It also includes the pattern for the dress.
I like them sitting on the backrest behind me. Matches the colour of the couch pretty good too.

Valentine hearts

Made a bunch of different hearts for Valentine's Day.

This first one is from Heidi Bears, same designer as the Hippo.
I didn't buy this pattern but figured out from the picture and from doing the Hippo how to make this heart.
It's bigger than the other hearts (about 20cm) but I think it could be a small decorative pillow for the grand-girls maybe.

And these heart dolls
from  this website.

Also for the girls,
to hang on their school bags.

The bobble hearts were from a Dutch website (no longer in service)

And last but not least are these tiny hearts. Lots of things you can do with them (fill a bowl with them or hang them on a little gift bag).
I decided to glue them on a stick and set them in a vase like flowers.

Baby doll clothes

In 1977 while pregnant, I knitted a very cute bunting bag for my new baby girl to take her home from the hospital. (wow, do I ever look young in that picture!)

Both granddaughters received beautiful baby dolls (so called "reborn dolls")  for Christmas and I promised them some homemade clothes for their babies. I thought I still had the pattern for the bunting bag somewhere but I can't find it anywhere. So I ended up making my own for Ava's doll. Turned out well I think.

Here is Hazel's doll.
This bunting bag is a personal alteration from a DropsDesign pattern

Christmas crafts

Here are some of my crafts for this Christmas.
Made a Santa and reindeer for all 4 grandkids.
I made 10 of the cutlery pockets (my own design - download here) for all of us at the dinner table.
The crocheted light string and little Christmas tree were just fun to do with some leftover yarn.
The slippers were going to be for myself to wear on Christmas Day but I ended up selling them.
Also added some more Christmas balls to my collection (12 in total now).
