Cabled Shawl

Just LOVE this design, looks very complicated but actually much easier than I figured.
This one is going to someone else as a birthday gift, but I most likely will make another one for myself. Have enough of the yarn leftover.
The colour doesn't come over as nice in the picture but it's a very soft rose blush, with a little bit of fluff but not itchy!

The pattern is "Ode To Skye Wrap" available on Ravelry
Worth every penny!

Halloween party

Fall is here and Halloween not far off.
I felt like doing some pumpkins, but that was a little boring after a while so started on a witch.
And then of course she needed a cat to keep her company.
I glued them all on a small branch and made a witches broom with some small twigs.
I'm pretty happy with the result.

New toys

I have some new favourite patterns!
Bears and mice from Mary Jane's Tearoom
I just wanted to change it up a little after making so many of the Little Cotton Rabbit animals.

As you can see, these ones are very cute too.
The mouse is a little smaller and the bear is bigger than the previous toys.
But I'm sure I can adjust some of the clothing to fit anyone of them.

And I have some ideas on making several Christmas variations (it's going to be here before you know it :)

And here is a bigger girl bear too!

Baby Booties

I've been working on a pair of baby booties for a while now.
I wanted an easy design without any seams and also the possibility of making it into a different bootie without changing too much in the design.
I think I finally got it done.
I'm pretty pleased with the result and I feel anyone who likes to make baby booties can use this pattern and with some fantasy should be able to make a lot of different styles for any occasion.

Little Things

Yard sales coming up in the next 2 weeks so I've been making a lot of small items, like keychains or purse hangers.
My own design for the mini cupcake keychain is available for free here.

Also made a small mini birthday cake (on a stand) and a little watermelon purse and a couple of book markers.

All are from free patterns (or adaptations of free patterns) that I found on Pinterest.

Of course I will have some favourite monkeys, bears and other little animals for sale too.
Now just hoping for good weather this coming Saturday and the week after (if it rains I'm not going!)
