Busy, busy, busy

Santa Claus is in town and I've been very busy keeping Michelle's clinic supplied with Christmas crafts.
Things are selling well and also orders to fill (5 gnomes in neutral colours).
I'm working several different projects at the same time and my work area looks very messy with lots of yarn, needles and other equipment laying around for easy access.
Pinterest is a hard place to stay away from and every time I end up there I see more things I'd like to make.
Below a small example of the things I've been working on.

Most patterns are found on Pinterest or Ravelry. The Gnomes are my own design.

Cabled Shawl

Just LOVE this design, looks very complicated but actually much easier than I figured.
This one is going to someone else as a birthday gift, but I most likely will make another one for myself. Have enough of the yarn leftover.
The colour doesn't come over as nice in the picture but it's a very soft rose blush, with a little bit of fluff but not itchy!

The pattern is "Ode To Skye Wrap" available on Ravelry
Worth every penny!

Halloween party

Fall is here and Halloween not far off. I felt like doing some pumpkins, but that was a little boring after a while so started on a witch. And then of course she needed a cat to keep her company. I glued them all on a small branch and made a witches broom with some small twigs. I'm pretty happy with the result. Free pattern here or on Ravelry

New toys

I have some new favourite patterns!
Bears and mice from Mary Jane's Tearoom
I just wanted to change it up a little after making so many of the Little Cotton Rabbit animals.

As you can see, these ones are very cute too.
The mouse is a little smaller and the bear is bigger than the previous toys.
But I'm sure I can adjust some of the clothing to fit anyone of them.

And I have some ideas on making several Christmas variations (it's going to be here before you know it :)

And here is a bigger girl bear too!

Unicat Shawls

This is the nicest yarn to make a shawl.
It's called Unicat, multi coloured but with a VERY slow turnover.
The darker one (blue-red-ocher) is called Rafiki and the lighter sandy-pink is called Perlenglanz (pearl shine).

I wore the lighter one last winter already and had lots of compliments. Can't wait for some cooler
weather to arrive so I can show off the darker one!

I used the same pattern for both shawls.
It's called Secret Paths and a free download on Ravelry

Baby Booties

I've been working on a pair of baby booties for a while now.
I wanted an easy design without any seams and also the possibility of making it into a different bootie without changing too much in the design.
I think I finally got it done.
I'm pretty pleased with the result and I feel anyone who likes to make baby booties can use this pattern and with some fantasy should be able to make a lot of different styles for any occasion.

Little Things

Yard sales coming up in the next 2 weeks so I've been making a lot of small items, like keychains or purse hangers.
My own design for the mini cupcake keychain is available for free here.

Also made a small mini birthday cake (on a stand) and a little watermelon purse and a couple of book markers.

All are from free patterns (or adaptations of free patterns) that I found on Pinterest.

Of course I will have some favourite monkeys, bears and other little animals for sale too.
Now just hoping for good weather this coming Saturday and the week after (if it rains I'm not going!)

5 Friends

These cute little animals are all from Little Cotton Rabbits and they are so adorable!
I love making them and their super cute outfits.
For their dresses I experiment with designs and combine them with things I see on Pinterest.
For $35-40 each they sell well through my display at Michelle's clinic.
I'm trying to make a selection to take to the yard sales in June, also with as assortment of different dresses so people can choose their favourite combination.
But the grandgirls were here this week and wanted one so the pig and the cat are gone already.
Need to make more!
